Aura VA40 Rebirth

Aura 35th Anniversary is a pure analog amplifier that goes back to its roots.

VA 40 rebirth is an integrated amplifier designed to commemorate Aura Design's 35th anniversary. This anniversary model, named after the original VA 40, is designed as a pure analog amplifier that faithfully reproduces the original circuit design. With no digital inputs or display, the VA 40 rebirth leaves all operations to manual operation. The concept of this anniversary model is a fresh music reproduction that makes clear the advantages of the traditional MOSFET single push-pull. This is achieved by the excellent low-level linearity that has been praised and the newly acquired high power response. The VA 40 rebirth is an analog amplifier that you want to hear now, and it brings back the excitement of the exciting music that Aura once gave you.

An innovative cooling system that maximizes the capabilities of power devices

The biggest feature of the VA 40 rebirth is its elaborate structure, with a large heat sink equipped with a MOSFET placed on top, and a main board supported upside down by rods underneath. Single push-pull drive is advantageous for focused repeatability, which is difficult with parallel push-pull, but the smallest unit of four power devices reaches considerable temperatures. The VA 40 rebirth has a MOSFET securely fixed to a large noise-free heat sink with excellent vibration damping properties, and heat is efficiently dissipated through the ventilation holes in the lid. MOSFETs that operate with optimal temperature management can continue to demonstrate their capabilities without causing characteristic deterioration due to heat. In addition, since heat escapes to the top, the main board attached to the bottom of the heat sink maintains its performance without being affected by heat, which further improves the durability of the parts.

Adopts high-quality parts selected through sound quality evaluation and a custom-made toroidal transformer.

A toroidal transformer with a capacity of 200VA was custom made for this amplifier. The MOSFET uses British EXICON ECX10P20/ECX10N20, which has been used by high-end brands such as GOLDMUND and NAGRA. It incorporates a number of high-quality parts that update the original model to a new stage, such as VISHAY metal film resistors, NICHIKON MUSE series high-grade capacitors, and gold-clad contact relays.

About Aura VA 40 rebirth

Aura Design, which was founded in Worthing, England in 1989, will celebrate its 35th anniversary next year. The founder is Michael Tu. Immediately after its founding, the company continued to manufacture products in Brighton for 7 years as a subsidiary of B&W, before transferring the brand to Aura Design Japan. VA 40 rebirth is manufactured in Japan. The front panel and chassis are manufactured in Tsubame-Sanjo, which is famous for metal processing, and has achieved high precision and quality.
