Ordering & Returns
Ordering
You can choose to place your order via our selection in the online store or you can email or call us and deal directly person to person. If you would like a demonstration of any of our products please feel free to contact us to arrange a suitable time on terryo@gc-hifi.com.au.
Stock
Mostly we deliver from stock on hand, however, in the event we need to order a product in for you we will give you an indication of the delay involved. If the item you wish to order is a "Special Order" (one that we do not usually keep in stock) we will require a 50% deposit with your initial order. It is our intention to supply your order within the estimated dates specified. Occasionally due to manufacturing, transport problems or other delays, supply issues may occur. Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the estimated dates are met they do not form a fixed term of the contract of sale. We will endeavour to minimize any inconvenience should this happen and appreciate your patience.
Payment
The following payment methods are accepted
Credit Cards:
Mastercard
Visa
Alternative payment methods:
PayPal
Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)
Orders will only be dispatched upon receipt of full payment.
Cancellation of Order Policy
We offer all the knowledge and service that we can to help you choose carefully, the cancellation of orders will attract an administration fee equal to 25% of the order value.
In the case of "Special Orders" this is 50% of the value of the order to cover restocking and administration expenses should you wish to receive a refund of the purchase price. "Special Orders" are those which we have imported specifically to fill your order.
GC HiFi Pty. Ltd does not offer a "cooling off" period on orders, however, if your order has not yet been shipped and you wish to swap it for another item that we stock please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to arrange this for you if possible.
Goods sold subject to a "trial or audition" are subject to a 7day period unless otherwise agreed. The goods are supplied for the customer's own personal use and the sale will be considered final unless the customer contacts us within the 7day period and indicates his/her intention to return the goods. The goods must be used by the customer in a normal domestic setting and not be modified or tampered with in any way.
Refund Policy
If you have an issue relating to your product, please contact us on terryo@gc-hifi.com.au.
Please choose carefully, as refunds are not normally given where you have decided that you did not like the product; that you have changed your mind or have found it cheaper elsewhere.
Under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and under other consumer laws applying in each State and Territory, you have the right to have goods replaced, repaired or to receive a refund where:
-
The goods are faulty.
-
The goods are wrongly described.
-
The goods are different from a sample shown to you
-
The goods do not do what they are supposed to do.
These consumer guarantees are implied into all consumer contracts and cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. These are in addition to any voluntary warranties offered by a manufacturer.
Choice between a refund, exchange or credit will be available in the event of one or more of the above circumstances.
Please note that goods must be returned within a reasonable period and you may be asked to demonstrate that the problem with the goods was not your fault.
All goods returned must be in their original packaging and should not be soiled or damaged, such goods may be rejected or credited at a reduced rate.
Consumer Guarantees do not apply where, in our reasonable opinion, the goods become unacceptable due to fair wear and tear, or the customer’s misuse, failure to use the goods in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, or failure to take reasonable care.
If a product or service you buy fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you have the right to ask for a repair, replacement or refund under the Australian Consumer Law. The remedy you’re entitled to will depend on whether the issue is major or minor.
This refund policy is not intended to exclude or limit any rights which you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Australian Consumer Law or equivalent State or Territory law.
